Property Location and Description
Approximately 682 mining lease and staked claims 175 km northeast of Thunder Bay. Consists of 35 km long block of staked and leased claims located Hwy 11 between Beardmore and Jellico.
Geological Setting
Underlain by east-west trending and steeply south to vertically dipping metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks. Transected by a steeply dipping east-west-trending zone of extensive faulting and hydrothermal alteration hosting the main "Brookbank Shear Zone" mineralization.
Beardmore-Geraldton and Tashota-Onaman greenstone belts have produced over 4.10 million ounces of gold from 14 past producers since commencement of production in the mid 1930's.
Mineral resources for the Brookbank Gold Deposit were estimated by John P Thompson, M.Sc., P.Eng. a QP as per NI 43-101. Geology for the Brookbank property is reported by Armen Chilian, B.Sc., VP Exploration for Ontex Resources and a QP.
